Castles

Guten Tag!

Well, I'm finally settling into the European lifestyle. My hausfrau is lending me her bike, so I'll be biking around the city with the locals!

Well, this weekend we visited two castles. On Saturday we went to Schloss Hellbrunn and took a tour of the Wasserspiel, the trick fountains. We got a little wet, but it was a fun tour. Here's a picture of the table that shoots water up from the stools.

On Sunday I got to go to a church service here in English, what a surprising blessing! In the afternoon we went to another castle and saw a birds of prey show with eagles, owls, and falcons.

We also had a pastry tasting. Austrian pastries are so delicious. I have a lot of time to spare this week and the weather's been beautiful, so I've been studying and reading alot by the river or in the Mirabell Gardens. Today during our lunchbreak there was a guy playing Mozart on a piano outside, and a couple of old men playing on this huge chess board. Only in Salzburg!
